Youth Center wherein the
funds will help a lot in the construction of the building. I learned problems arose during the
preparation (I never had a hand since it was not needed) but everything went
smoothly during the affair for the CAUSE OF ROTARY. The net income from DA 2002 in the
amount of more than P200,000.00 will help
a lot in the construction now going on. As our Session Speaker, Nonong Noriega,
said, ‘FORGIVE, FORGET AND FOREGO.” Let me quote the message of RIPE Bhichai
Rattacul which IP Rex Mendoza quoted in his March 12 letter, “Whatever we do, one element remains constant: The best Rotary fellowship and service always comes from the heart. When love is infused into our actions, we do not stop to question the TIME or MONEY we are sacrificing. We are inspired to do more, |

to give more. Love is the
motivating force behind all of Rotary’s best work. When we perform an act of
love, it will inherently be more effective and will penetrate more deeply
into the hearts and minds of those we serve.
We Rotarians already have so much love within ourselves, but with the
ambitious goals that we have set before us, we need more people to share our
beliefs and commitments. The best way
we can ensure the continuity of our organization is by SOWING THE SEEDS
OF LOVE in many hearts
as possible.” ROTARY
SERVICE AND YOUTH CENTER – When the Rotary Service Center initiated by PP Aldy during his term as
President in 1969-1970 was damaged by a typhoon, the club had a problem
whether to repair it or construct a new building. Again problems were solved for the CAUSE OF
ROTARY. It was decided to construct a new one. PP Albert Dy initiated the acquisition of a
lot, during his presidency, wherein to construct the building and he raised
funds for the purpose in the amount of P140,000.00 which went up to
P160,000.00 including interest. The acquisition of a lot finally materialized
upon the constant prodding of PP Albert.
Now the construction is in full swing.
With the donations of PP Cres Fernandez and PP Aldy Dy of P200,000.00
each and P100,000.00 from Chairman Albert Dy the project is still going
on. PP Arsing Ignacio has also committed
to donate P200,000.00. We need more
funds to finish this project. And now
allow me to quote the words of IP Rex Mendoza entitled MEDITATION ON
PROSPERITY. |

DISTRICT ASSEMBLY 2002 – DA 2002, a working assembly for Incoming Officers
of Rotary and Rotarians as well, is just over. The huge success has been due
