     In La Union, the Nisce family, particularly of PP Ives, Immediate Past President of the Rural Bankers Association of the Phils, got a double whammy of joyful news: PP Ives' IJ who had been reported missing since April was reunited last Saturday with the family after a "stoic vacation" in Batanes.
     The other good news was the family's rural bank, Rang-ay Bank - the biggest in the Ilocos and the Cordilleras - was recently adjudged most outstanding participating financial institution in the Countryside Loan Fund (CLF) and the agricultural loan fund throughout the islands.
     It was Rang-ay's fourth award, having been adjudged so in 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001.

     A good objective for a person selling products is to become as professional in the job as possible. This requires three things:
1. Product Knowledge: To make solid recommendations, it is necessary to know as much about a product as possible-its capabilities, limitations, benefits and features. The more known, the easier it is to handle objections.
2. Selling Technique: Good salesmanship can be learned. It is only a matter of practicing and using techniques proven over the years.
3. Energy: Enthusiasm and vigor can be the most important traits a salesperson has. The more that is tried, the more that is accomplished. The more that is accomplished, the more enjoyable the job.
