Bring A Friend, Share Rotary

vice.  But service may never happen…if the right man is not proposed  as a new member. Each club member has an opportunity to extend Rotary by proposing the right man.
Now is the time for our Club to review its achievement in membership growth. Each member should ask himself two questions: "Have I done my share in building ;our Club?  Can I propose a qualified man for membership this year?" Act now.  There are many service-minded men out there waiting to be asked to join Rotary.
A "living club" should be our goal.  Just as an individual must search continually for knowledge, new interests and stimulating adventure to prevent mental decay, so must our club reach out for men with new ideas and fresh enthusiasm.
Let us not say that "our club is the right size now."  If so, those who acclaim this might rejoice that this attitude did not prevail before they were elected to membership.  For, who can determine arbitrarily the number of members as the right size? Limiting membership under any disguise is contrary to the most basic principles of Rotary.
Fortunately, many Rotary clubs recognize that they can never be the "right" size. They are aware that increased membership can bring many advantages.  The ROTARY BASIC LIBRARY puts it well.  "The more hands Rotary has, the better and more effectively the Ideal of Service will be achieved.  Hence, the importance of membership."
