the need for it arise. Likewise, the fear of losing the
support or cooperation of the members is taken into consideration when events
such as this happen. Such was the case that I have experienced during my term
as the President and as such, have considered this experience as my “Longest One Day in RCSFU”. Let me relate to you why. During the celebration of the Valentines Party “Romancing the Ruins” RY 1999-2000, I was requested to render a song in the guise of serenading the general members and their lovely spouses. coach. As the Valentines Day Party approached, I became more tensed because I
had a hard time memorizing the lines of the song I have been asked to sing.
This likewise resulted to many sleepless nights as I counted the days to
D-Day. This seems to me an eternity. And then
the day I feared most came, I rendered my best in their presence. I just
don’t know if they were indeed entertained, or they have discovered my new
talent (which to me, should have remained to be discovered). With this
experience, I have learned to face any challenge that comes my way. As a Past
President, my experience taught me that some fears may become obstacles in
the performance of our duties, but it is only by facing these fears that make
the barrier a part of the learning
process. Good day
everyone. |
