It seemed like only a few Rotarians were present in the meeting room when the Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies, Rtn. ROMY D. asked Pres. JEROME to call the meeting to order. The room did fill up a little as the meeting went on.  Nevertheless, as our tradition is, the meeting started at precisely 12:30.  Rtn. RIC prayed a very good prayer and then led us in the 4-Way Test.  Next up was DC/MC ROMY D. standing in for ROMY C. to lead us in the Pambansang Awit.

After a short luncheon period, PP BEN greeted our guests and birthday celebrants, one of which is the spouse of PP BEN, Ann Linda.  Also celebrating birthdays were Rtn. EDWARD and YOURS TRULY.  PP BEN and Rtn. EDWARD provided the two scoops of ice cream. Thanks guys, we needed that…..

During his President's Time, Pres. JEROME presented special recognition plaques to Rotarians who have been members of RCSFU for over thirty years. These special Rotarians are to be highly commended for their faithful to RCSFU and to the ideals of Rotary.  Congratulations guys…you are the most SENIOR of the senior Rotarians.

It was good to have PP RUFI back with us, even though it was just for a few short weeks.  PP RUFI led us in the day's Fining Session.  His questions was, "What are you most proud about, and how much is it worth to you?"  Some of our Rotarians had to think long and hard for an answer.  Personally, I am very thankful that no one was seriously injured or killed during the terrible fire that burned the Mabanag Compound and surrounding areas last Saturday, August 26^th.

New Rotarian, NINOY, was called upon to introduce our Guest of Honor and Speaker, Director Amadeo Y. Yabes of the National Telecommunications Commission, Region 1.  Dir. Yabes' speech was short, but the response that followed was rather long.  The Rotarians had many questions to ask the Director, covering everything from cable television to cell phones.

PP ARSING rendered a short and sweet response and the meeting was adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
