TUESDAY THAT WAS
Rtn. DAVE PARKMAN

THE FOUR-WAY TEST
of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the Truth?

2. Is it fair to all concerned?

3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

I was pleasantly surprised when Sec. DIEGO asked Pres. JEROME to call the meeting to order at precisely 12:30, even though there were few Rotarians present at the very start of the meeting. I think our leaders want to start the New Year off the right way and be punctual with their time. A/Treas. PP CANOR was asked to lead us in the Pambansang Awit and Auditor REGGIE led us in a saintly prayer to "kick off" of first meeting of the New Year in the right direction.
During the luncheon break, the President of the RVC of North Central School gave a brief talk or plea to help the school in its on-going fund raising projects. Also, to my surprise, Editor ALLAN A. announced that he would be moving back to the States. ALLAN we will greatly miss you. You have been both an asset and a blessing to our Club. We wish you God's best in the future.
Once again, IPP ALBERT was called upon to do the Welcome and Greetings.
He always does a great job with this assignment. Maybe that is why he is always asked to do it every time his Group is in charge of the program. There were few guests and no celebrants present, which means there was no ice cream…
Pres. JEROME looked happy and refreshed during his President's Time. The "rest" over the Holidays did him good. A/Sec. FRANK was tasked with the challenged of trying to raise "big bucks" during the Fining Session (As if anyone had any money left after the Holidays.) His questions ranged from Political to religious to everything in between. He did manage to ""squeeze" a little money out of the Rotarians.
Being the first Rotary meeting of the New Year, today's gathering was a Club Assembly. All four of our Directors reported on their first semester accomplishments of their respective Avenue of Service. It seems that we have already done much, but there is still six months left in this Rotary Year and there is still so much more that can and will be accomplished by our Club. That is, if we all do our part and help carry the load and work together.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:47 P.M.
