JANUARY IS ROTARY AWARENESS MONTH
The name Rotary International originated through the custom of holding the meetings of the first club in rotation at the places of business of the members. As a noun it is most frequently used to designate the whole organization. It may also mean the ideals and principles of the organization. "Rotarian" is used only as a noun to designate a member of a Rotary club and in the name of the official magazine The Rotarian. No Rotary Club or group of Rotary clubs should adopt and operate under any name other than that under which it or they were organized under the Constitution of R.I.
