wo and half months more and it will already be the turn of the millenium.  Modesty aside, although we have a wealth of accomplishment, still, there are lot of tasks that need to be done before we finally start off with the New Millenium.  It might sound superficial if I say that I intend to accomplish all that have been planned, so that it will all be part of the history of the old millenium, but then again, I am certain that the new millenium poses new challenges and new responsibilities and therefore, more tasks to be done.

As we usher the month of October in preparation for our forthcoming Anniversary this November, I find it very timely to express my profound admiration to all those who helped me and contributed in one way or the other, in the accomplishment of the many tasks that we had.  I am profusely indebted to those who have shown 100% cooperation in all our activities and whose dynamism and commitment to Rotary Service is unprecedented.  As a proof that
Rotarians are Service Dynamics, we have spearheaded the Rota-Mission last Sunday October 17,1999 at Sibuan-otong for the benefit of its residents & Tanquigan.  It was actually one of the most ambitious project I had during my term for we did not only involve the majority of the Rotarians but also the participation of the LUMS under the leadership of Dr. Jei Gaerlan and the Inner Wheel Club of San Fernando, under the leadership of Lina Fernandez.  The active participation of our sponsored Interact and Rotaract in this activity is also worth mentioning.  The mission was really not an easy task but it is a joy to behold that we have put all these people together in one place at one time and we have accomplished so many things in just a span of a few hours.

During the said mission, we had simultaneously performed the following activities which are as follow;
Medical and Dental Mission , Tree Planting, Linis Bayan, erection of the 4 Way- Test Marker at Sibuan-otong & Tanquigan, Sibuan-otong -Rota- Data Board, Botica sa Bakuran, Community Water Assesment, RVC Cooperative Application & Health Education classes.  With the many tasks that had been done in half a day, I salute our Community Director, REX MENDOZA for a job well done and for Dir. JEROME GAERLAN for the medical team.

This coming Saturday will be the Rotary Community Corps District Seminar and in this regard, I am encouraging our Club Secretary, President-Elect, Community Directors, RCC Chairman & Co-Chairman & the new members to join me in this expedition.  Let us attend this seminar in order for us to understand better the objectives of the RCC.  In addition to the activities that beset our club in observance of the Month of October as Vocational Month, on Sunday, October 23,1999, we will be having another distinct activity dubbed as MEGA TRADE and JOB FAIR.  For members and friends of Rotarians who are interested & would like to participate, you can coordinate with Rtn. Ernie Galera.  The primary aim of this activity is to help generate employment by way of providing job information to the unemployed sector of our Province.  Likewise, it will be an opportune time for our exhibitors to sell & inform the public of their existing products and in a way will help us raise funds.  In like manner, we have invited the DOLE Director, Dir. Ricardo Martinez to be our speaker for today to give us enlightenment of the current labor situation in our province and we could tap additional knowledge
