12:25 the Master of Ceremonies and Day Chairman PP IVES asked VP ARNOLD to call the meeting to order.  A few seconds later Pres. ALBERT arrived. You see, Pres. ALBERT was scheduled to be out-of-town on his family vacation.  The recent bombing at SM Megamall in Manila changed his plans.  Our President was very near to the bombing site when the explosion happened.  We all thank God that no danger came to Pres. ALBERT or his family.

A/Ed ROMY De led us in our opening prayer and 4-Way Test.  It was the "New" Rtn. NINOY, in his first assignment as a Rotarian, who did a wonderful job leading us in the Pambansang Awit.

During the brief luncheon period, seven scholars from the Rotary PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation provided a special and dance number.  They actually did very well considering they do not normally do this.  Dir. REX gave the official Welcome and Greetings to our visitors and celebrants.  VP ARNOLD & wife Alma and PP IVES & wife Rose were celebrating their respective wedding anniversaries.  Thanks for the ice cream.  We needed that...

After PP/Sec. TONY gave a short Secretary's Report, PP RUDY led us in the Friendship session with several of PDG RUDY's favorite jokes.

As always, PP RUDY did a great job extracting funds from various Rotarians. Pres. ALBERT gave us a short report about his shortened vacation and a few other things.  PP CRES gave a short and concise introduction of our Guest of Honor and Speaker, none other than our very own PDG Cesario 'CES' Mendoza.  It was like a "living legend' talking about a "departed legend" as PDG CES talked about his departed friend PDG RUDY and the Rotary PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation.  At the conclusion of the short speech, PP DAN who is the Incumbent President of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines presented to PDG CES a donation of 50,000 pesos from his association to the Rotary PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation.

Three of the scholars who were present at the meeting also came forward and expressed their appreciation to the Foundation for helping them finance their education.  In his response, IP JEROME brought a bottle of red wine and offered a toast the late PDG RUDY nd the Rotary PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation. The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
