 Today marks another milestone of our Rotary Clubs in La Union. Aside from having successfully gathered all of us together in this 5th Inter - City Meeting, we are very privileged and honored to have with us the Ambassador of Australia . Our warm welcome to his Excellency John Edward Buckley and his First Lady. Welcome to our humble city of San Fernando, La Union. Mabuhay!
It is very pleasing to know that Australians are very much involved in community projects as well. The government of Australia has lot of assistance programs in place for the Philippines. Given this opportunity, we would like to know how we could tap this program, work hand in hand with the Australian government , to serve our community better.
At this moment, Rotarians around the world are gathered in Buenos Aires, Argentina for our RI 91ST Convention. The main topic of discussion would be " How Rotarians have to adapt to meet its own and society's need in the 21st Century".
As this Rotary Year comes to close, I will gather all incoming and outgoing Officers & Directors to discuss our accomplishments and how we can ensure a successful turn-over; thus, maintaining our vision of consistency, credibility and continuity to the community we serve and to the Rotary as a whole.
Finally, please join me this Saturday, June 10, for our Year-end Review in Skyrise Hotel, Baguio City. Gov. Alvin will present the accomplishments of the District and will recognize clubs that contributed to its success.
