RESOLUTIONS FOR THE MILLENIUM
I RESOLVE, To strip the soul of all pretense, To hold each day in reverence, To keep the head and heart apace, To make this world a worthwhile place, To share my bread with those in need, To tolerate a neighbor's creed, To keep a stride without a strut, To make a home in manse or hut. To have the grit to grin at loss, To master life and be its boss.
FROM THE MAILBOX St. Joseph, Missouri December 5, 1999
ROTARY CLUB OF SAN FERNANDO, LA UNION President Albert Dy
Joyous holy days to you. Sounds and sights of the season fill our days and evenings choirs of several schools sang with the symphony last night; many homes shine with hundreds of colored bulbs and figures. We were thrilled to see/read your Web site after Thanksgiving in Kansas City through our daughter's computer. You all can be commended for numerous service activities.
Arlene's sister brings items from storage after parents' death in the 1970's. One of great interest is THE GOLD LEAF of February 14, 1968. Three Rotarians were inducted by P.D.G. Rudy Nisce: Ernesto "Bert" Bautista, Conrado "Conde" Domingo, Elias "Jun" Muan, Jr. Short talks were given by P.P. "Min" Mendoza, P.P. "Ising" Nisce and P.P. "Pinang" Macagba. President was "Cres" Fernandez.
A SAFE AND WARM NEW YEAR TO YOU. Last night snow fell to close some roads and churches.
Cordially,
