precisely 12:30, PD ELVI, who was the Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies asked Pres. ALBERT to call the meeting to order. It was Rtn. ARNEL who led us in the Prayer and 4-Way Test followed by Dir. ALI led us in the Pambansang Awit.

There was no official break for the luncheon period as Rtn. ALLAN A. gave us a very good and well organized Classification Talk. Rtn. ALLAN A.'S company, San Francisco Venture Enterprise offers a wide range of services that would be beneficial to most any Rotarian. PP KIT did an excellent job welcoming the day's guests and celebrants, including a potential new "female" Rotarians. The birthday celebrants who were present were Rtn. TIM and Editor MEL. PP REY and PP TONY, along with their Ann's JASMIN and SOPHIA, celebrated wedding anniversaries. To help them celebrate the special occasions, we enjoyed a double scoop of ice cream. Thanks guys. We needed that ....

PP TONY put on his Secretaries hat and gave us his report followed by a very lively friendship session led by PP JIM. For many of our "young" Rotarians this was the first time that they were exposed to PP JIM's witty humor. There were many "big fish" in attendance who owed "big bucks". Much needed funds were painlessly extracted as PP JIM's questions dealt with educational degrees. During his President's Time, Pres. ALBERT reminded us of on-going projects that still needed to be completed. I am reminded of the old saying: "A Rotarians job is never done."

ADDG/PP VIR had the honor to introduce his "boss", so he really tried to do his very best to chalk up some "brownie points." Our Guest of Honor and Speaker was DR. REMEDIOS K. TAGUBA, Director DECS - Region 1. Dr. Taguba did an outstanding job of clearly presenting some of the problems and solutions to those problems that face eduction in Region 1. The objectives and programs of DECS were well explained to the Rotarians. It is reassuring to know that our young people are in good hands with this very capable Director at the helm of DECS.

A short open forum followed and the meeting was adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
