ROTARY PDG RUDY NISCE FOUNDATION, INC.

The Rotary PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock corporation set up in July 1995 with the family of the late PDG Rudy Nisce and the Rotary Club of San Fernando (LU), Inc.  The purposes of the Foundation are as follows:

The Foundation aims to initiate and support worthy community projects designed to promote the Rotary's ideals of service, brotherhood and worthy undertaking
.
The Foundation shall also support the social educational entrepreneurial and economic upliftment of the disadvantaged  and the marginalized sector through  livelihood training and education.
   
At present the Foundation is being run by Board of Trustees, consisting of the following:

Youngest Member of  Rotary Club of San Fernando (LU), Inc.
Highest District Officer coming from the Rotary Club of San Fernando (LU), Inc.
(or in the absence of a District Officer from the Club, a designated member of the Board of the Rotary Club of SFU, Inc.)

At  present, the main project of the  Foundation  is a scholarship grant to deserving students. The students has entered into an agreement with the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) with principal office in Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union. With regards to the screening and acceptance of the scholars of the Foundation  the screening committee for candidates for scholarship will be composed of the five members, as follows:
Chairman -ARSO (Academic Related Services Office) Coordinator of DMMMSU
  -Guidance Coordinator of DMMMSU
  -Guidance Counselor of DMMMSU
  -Two (2) Trustees of the Foundation

The list of screened applicants with supporting documents shall be forwarded to the ARSO Director for evaluation prior to the joint approval by the President of the University and the Foundation Chairman.
