Let me first warmly welcome our guest of honor and speaker, Police Chief Inspector Benjamin Lusad of Bauang.

Last April 12  we were priviledge to meet
PDG Tony Sibal, Guest of honor and speaker on the occasion of the 21st charter anniversary of  RC Agoo (our daughter club), who served as District Governor when we were still District 380.The Governor extend his regards to the general membership specially to PP Rudy Yabes who was the President during his governorship.

Finally ,the much awaited District Conference is now over. A few  proposed amendments were introduced,in time for the council of legislation next year.

I would like to extend congratulation to the following Rotarians for being voted  in each respective position  by the district during the DISCON:

1
. PDG Cesario Mendoza-member of the nominating committee to elect RI Director(unopposed)
2.
PP Mark Go-District Governor nominee RY 2001-2002
3
. PDG Nelson Yuchongtian-representative to the council of legislation in year 2001

Incidentally,I would like to extend my gratitude to
all Rotarians who joined me in the District Conference, especially to PP Rey Bonifacio who was kind enough to accommodate us our stay in Dagupan and to Amy Collado who acceded to our request to be the interpreter for the Japanese dignitaries.

In one of our board meeting ,the board unanimously approved and declared  the last week of the month of April as
the PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation week.

PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation is the pet project/brain child of PP Silverio Mangaoang. This foundation aims to initiate and support worthy  community project design to promote the Rotary's ideal of service, brotherhood and world understanding. The foundation shall also support the social, educational, entrepreneurial and economic upliftment of the disadvantage and the marginalized sector thru livelihood training and education. The foundation was approved by the SECURITY AND EXCHANGE on the 30th of June 1995.

Due to financial constraint ,which we are only allowed to use the interest of the seed fund
, so far the foundation primarily extend assistance in educational grants to those deserving students.

PDG Rudy was given this honor due to his extensive and invaluable contribution to our club that today,  our club is now enjoying the fruit. I earnestly request everybody to continue support this foundation not for his glory but to the future of our club and rotary as  a whole.
